Painted Dreams Farm is a small, family owned farm in South Carolina. We do not have big, beautiful facilities, but we do have beautiful horses. We have owned and loved horses all our lives, and having been raised on a 350 acre ranch in Fort Worth, Texas, have done just about everything you can do on, and with, a horse. It is our dream to raise quality babies that have stamina, beauty, great bloodlines, good conformation, willing dispositions, do it all attitudes and great color.

PD California Dreamin is helping us reach that dream. He crosses exceptionally well with Arabian and Pinto mares, and his Paint babies have been equally beautiful and correct. We have also crossed Dreamin with draft mares, and he produced a spotted black and white both times. They were gorgeous, and were registered as Spotted Draft.

PD California Dreamin was sired by Movin To The Music, the famed 16.1 hand, homozygous, champion dressage stallion, who has 90 OCAP dressage points to his credit. Dreamin's dam is Smooth Gamble, an own daughter of Smooth N Easy.

Dreamin has a very versatile bloodline, and although his sire was a dressage champion, Dreamin's bloodline also includes halter, performance and race champions. Dreamin's sire and dam are shown below.

Movin To The Music

Above is Dreamin's sire, Movin To the Music. Music is triple registered. Music, at one time, was second in the Nation in OCAP dressage. He acquired 90 lifetime points. He is a black and white, homozygous APHA stallion, and stands 16.1 hands tall. He passed on his gorgeous movement to his son, PD California Dreamin. He has sired many wonderful foals himself, with no solids.

Smooth Gamble, dam of PD California Dreamin

Above is Dreamin's dam, Smooth Gamble. She stood 16.1 hands tall and was a black and white tobiano mare. She was an own daughter of Smooth N Easy, and has many greats in her bloodline. We had sold Gamble to some very nice people a couple years back who had given her a wonderful home. Gamble passed away last year and has been sorely missed by all those that love her. She was a wonderful, sweet mare. When my dad passed away, I was very upset and Gamble stood with her head on my shoulder while I cried and cried. She was such a wonderful comfort to me, and I'll always love her for that. She passed that kind of heart on to her son, PD California Dreamin.

Rest in peace, Gamble. We miss you!!!

We fell in love with Dreamin at first sight...he was only four months old when we first viewed a video of him. My youngest daughter, and I drove to Anaheim Hills, California to pick up Dreamin and his dam, Smooth Gamble, when Dreamin was 9 months old.

It was a wonderful trip, and a time spent together that we shall always cherish.

PD California Dreamin possesses great beauty, wonderful disposition and bloodline, and is one of the sweetest natured stallions you will ever find. Of course, he is a stallion and can really put on a show. He is unshown, not due to his lack of ability, as he is very talented, but due, unfortunately, to our lack of time.

On a personal note, Dreamin loves bread for a treat, and comes to you when you whistle. He has no bad habits or vices. He is allowed to run out in the pasture with our mares most of the time, and enjoys a life as natural and free as we can make it for him. It is pure joy to watch him race across the pasture, mane and tail flying in the breeze.
